Two accomplished violinists will give a
recital to benefit Union Hall Theater on Sunday, December 2, 2007.
Laura Geier is a member of the first
violin section of the West Virginia Symphony. She holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Music from Rice University and a Master of Music
degree from Ohio University.
Heather Kufchak
is a member of the Ohio Valley Symphony and the Koru String Quartet.
She is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in violin performance at Ohio
University, studying with Marjorie Bagley. She is currently
featured in widely distributed television commercials promoting the
achievements of Ohio University students.
Angela Leising, pianist, will accompany
the two violinists. She earned degrees in piano performance and
piano pedagogy from Ohio University and the University of Nebraska at
Kearney. Angela is an active accompanist and an instructor of
piano at the Athens Community Music School. Angela also
accompanies the choir program at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp near Twin
Lake, Michigan.
